Utah’s Outdoor Mentorship Nonprofit

The fish can wait.
The moment can’t.

We put rods in hands, boots on riverbanks, and screens in pockets. Teach a Human to Fish connects Utah youth and men to the outdoors — and to each other.

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Why We Exist

The world got loud.
We went outside.

Kids are spending an average of 7 hours a day on screens. Men are more isolated than any generation in recorded history. Connection — real, unmediated, face-to-face connection — is disappearing.

Fishing isn’t the point. The point is what happens when you step away from the noise, stand in moving water, and have nothing to do but be present with the people next to you.

Teach a Human to Fish exists to create those moments — for kids who need mentorship, and for men who need brotherhood — on the banks of Utah’s rivers and lakes.

  • Guided on premium Utah waters
  • Governed by The Code
  • Corporate & private group options

For Every Man Who Joins Us

We live by The Code.

The Men’s Experience isn’t just a fishing trip. It’s an agreement — to show up honestly, to leave phones out of the conversation, and to be the kind of man worth standing next to on a riverbank.
